The experience launched on Roblox on 23 July 2026. Codes showed up around that window and again when merchant-themed content arrived in August 2026. They expire without a countdown, so treat this page as a checklist you run the moment you finish the tutorial—not a bank you save for later.

As of September 2026, Pro Game Guides listed four codes as active on 14 September 2026: MERCHANT, RELEASE, BLACKHOLE, and Letitgrow. Dexerto and Beebom confirmed the same three codes as working in early September 2026, but Pro Game Guides added Letitgrow as a new fourth code in mid-September. The safest approach is to try all four in-game rather than trust any single blog.

Codes to try in Settings

Paste them exactly. Capital letters matter. Redeem in this order: MERCHANT first, then RELEASE, then BLACKHOLE.

• MERCHANT — a new Grass Type. Beebom, TechWiser, GameRant, Destructoid, and bo3 treated this as live throughout August 2026. Several roundups call the reward Gold Grass. Redeem it first; a Grass Type change pays on every later swing and belongs next to the grass type tier list.
• RELEASE — 600 Cash and 4 Pirate Farmers. TechWiser, GameRant, and Destructoid still listed it as working throughout August 2026. Beebom moved it to expired on 24 August 2026. Paste it once. If Settings accepts it, you just skipped the worst part of Getting Started—run those four on Pirate Farmers. If Settings rejects it, treat it as dead for your account, keep any Pirate Farmers you already own, and do not refresh YouTube for a twin.
• BLACKHOLE — Cash (no trustworthy published amount). Beebom and bo3 added it as a working Cash code in late August 2026. Older GameRant, TechWiser, and Destructoid pages omit it. Try it once. If it grants Cash, spend it on Cut Speed and a worker, not Rolls. If it fails, leave it on expired codes.

Try MERCHANT, then RELEASE, then BLACKHOLE, then leave Settings. One failed string does not mean the CODES box is broken. The disagreement itself is documented so you do not treat four blogs as one table. If the box itself misbehaves, use codes not working.

Why the lists split in August 2026

Roblox code blogs copy each other within hours. On 24 August, Beebom published MERCHANT plus BLACKHOLE as live and RELEASE as expired. The same day, TechWiser still showed RELEASE plus MERCHANT and an empty expired list. bo3 listed BLACKHOLE plus MERCHANT without RELEASE. gamer.org later matched that BLACKHOLE-plus-MERCHANT table. Roonby on 24 August still printed only RELEASE plus MERCHANT. By 28 August, Nerdschalk listed all three together as working.

By September 2026, Pro Game Guides, Dexerto, and Beebom all listed MERCHANT, RELEASE, and BLACKHOLE as potentially active. This wiki will not pretend those tables are identical. If Settings rejects a string, use codes not working before you assume the whole box is broken.

What the rewards actually buy

Cash is the shop currency for blades, land, and workers. Six hundred from RELEASE is enough to stop swinging a starter blade on day one if you follow the upgrade planner instead of dumping everything into Rolls. Pirate Farmers keep cutting hay while you are offline, which is the difference between logging back into an empty plot and logging back into a silo that still has work to process. A new Grass Type from MERCHANT changes the value of every swing, which is why it belongs next to the grass type tier list rather than sitting unused in a collection screen.

Spend the Cash on Cut Speed and a worker you understand. Do not hire a late-game name just because it looks rare. Compare roles on the worker roster and the worker tier list first.

How redemption works

Codes live inside the in-game Settings panel, not on the Roblox website. You must finish the tutorial before the CODES box accepts input. Open the gear in the upper-right, find the Codes tab or labeled text box, paste one string, and press Enter. Repeat for the second code. The how to redeem page walks through failures: extra spaces, lowercase, trying before the tutorial ends, and codes that already died.

New strings usually appear with updates, milestones, or Discord announcements. Bookmark this hub and the official Discord. There is no public Trello board for My Grass Farm, so Discord and the Roblox description are the places developers actually post.

Codes versus scripts

A working code is an official gift. A script that auto-buys workers is not. If you are researching automation, read the scripts hub and the safety notes so you understand account risk. Most new farmers should try the three strings above, then play the make money fast loop instead of installing an executor.

When this list will change

We move strings that Settings rejects for new accounts to expired codes. After a patch, check Updates and the Merchant update notes so you know whether a new Grass Type code is replacing MERCHANT or stacking with it. A YouTube title that says SECRET UPDATE is a clue, not a source.
