My Grass Farm Max Level Blade Route

Max Level Blade Route

The max level blade in My Grass Farm is a goal, not a requirement. There is no published hard cap—Cut Speed ranks keep going until the shop runs out of content or One More Grass adds a ceiling. This page is the practical route to the highest practical Cut Speed, not a stat sheet of numbers we do not have.

The game launched on 23 July 2026. The experience description advertises blades, workers, land, and offline farming. Blade progression is the first upgrade path a new plot encounters. The starter scythe is intentionally slow. The gap between the starter blade and the first Cut Speed purchase is the game’s tutorial for understanding why upgrades exist. If you felt that gap, Cut Speed is the answer.

If you are still in the early game, start with Getting Started and the blade upgrades page. This page assumes you already understand the loop and want to push speed as far as it makes sense.

The practical speed ceiling

Buy Cut Speed until the next rank costs more than a worker you still need, or until swings feel genuinely fast rather than tolerable. There is no achievement for maxing speed before the rest of the farm works. The rainbow blade in official art is the visual destination—the gameplay destination is a farm that empties every bed before you return.

The practical ceiling is personal. For some players it is 10 ranks. For others it is 50. The determining factor is not a number—it is whether your workers are still cutting faster than the silo can process, whether your land is still full when you return, and whether the next Cut Speed rank costs more than the next worker you need.

Spending order for speed

The upgrade planner has the full shopping order. The speed-specific sequence is:

  1. Redeem codes first. RELEASE Cash and MERCHANT Grass Type give you a running start. 600 Cash plus four Pirate Farmers plus a new Grass Type is the foundation.
  2. Buy Cut Speed in early ranks until the blade feels different. Each early rank is cheap and punchy. You will feel the difference within the first ten swings.
  3. Balance with Silo Rate so hay converts as fast as it is cut. Fast cuts into a slow silo just builds a hay mountain. See the Silo Rate guide.
  4. Add workers so the speed improvement applies offline. A maxed blade on an empty plot is wasted. Workers multiply your blade speed.
  5. Expand land only when workers need more room. Empty land is a tax on your Silo Rate.
  6. Keep buying Cut Speed until the next rank competes with a named specialist you want.

Speed and workers compound

A Pirate Farmer with a maxed Cut Speed blade will out-cut the same Pirate Farmer on a starter scythe. That is not a theory—it is how the system works. Workers copy your blade speed. Faster blade plus hired crew means compound output.

This is why make money fast says to buy speed before you hire a Chef or DarkLord. Speed multiplied by crew is the actual end-game loop. A fully upgraded blade with three workers will generate more hay per hour than a maxed blade with no workers.

When to stop buying Cut Speed

Stop when one of these is true:

  • The next Cut Speed rank costs more than a worker you do not yet have.
  • Swings feel snappy and the blade is not the bottleneck.
  • Your silo cannot process the volume your blade produces.
  • Land is empty more often than it is full.

The last one is the real signal. A max speed blade on an empty plot is a waste. Workers finishing the plot is the goal. If workers finish the current plot before you return, you should be buying land, not more blade ranks.

Blade cosmetics versus blade ranks

A rainbow scythe in official art is the destination. The journey is ranks. Do not wait to cut until the blade looks legendary. Green grass plus high Cut Speed still prints Cash. The visual progression from basic scythe to glowing rainbow blade is real—it shows you how far you have come—but it is not the reason to buy the next rank.

Patches

If a balance patch changes Cut Speed costs or adds a new blade tier, patch notes will log it. The practical rule will not change: speed compounds, and it compounds faster when workers are also cutting.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common farm questions.

Is there a max level cap for blades in My Grass Farm?

No published cap exists. Cut Speed ranks continue until the shop runs out of content or a patch adds a ceiling.

Should I max Cut Speed before anything else?

Buy Cut Speed until swings feel fast, then balance with Silo Rate and workers. A max blade on an empty plot is wasted.

Does maxing blade speed make workers cut faster?

Yes. Workers copy your blade speed. A faster blade on your character means your hired crew also cuts more per minute.

When should I stop buying Cut Speed?

When the next rank costs more than a worker you still need, or when your land is emptier than your current blade can handle.

How is max blade different from starter blade?

The starter blade is intentionally slow. Each Cut Speed rank shortens the swing animation and increases the amount of grass harvested per swing.
